From Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS)

  • RIDESHARE: [MAP] A Ride Share are another convenient way to get to Casa Coelho. Popular rideshare apps are Uber, Bolt, and FreeNow.

  • TAXI: You can always find a taxi at the airport, normally queueing outside the departures and arrivals terminals. As the city centre is very close by, taxis are a relatively affordable transportation option, even with the luggage and/or pet fees that may be charged separately by the driver. Depending on traffic, the journey to the city centre is quick, costing between 10 and 15 euros, including luggage fees. If you choose to travel by taxi, make sure you demand that the meter is turned on at the beginning of the journey and always ask for a receipt/invoice.

  • METRO: [MAP] Take the Red Line from the airport to Sao Sebastiao and switch over to Blue Line to Santa Apolónia station. From Santa Apolónia, you are a 10-minute walk to Casa Coelho. Or you can take the 735 Carris bus . Plan your trip on the Metro website.

  • BUS: Take the 705 Bus to Roma Areeiro stop and then transfer over to 735 bus to Casa Coelho. Plan your trip on the Carris website.

  • METRO + BUS: Take the Metro to São Sebastião and then board the 735 bus from Alameda D. A. Henriques to Casa Coelho.

  • TRAIN + (METRO/BUS): Take the Red Metro line to Oriente Train Station and take the suburban train to Santa Apolonia Station. Plan your trip on the Comboios de Portugal website.

From Santa Apolonia Train Station

The Santa Apolonia Station is one of the main train stations in Lisbon and is the primary departure station for all international rail routes. If you plan on landing in Porto or Faro and traveling to Lisbon via train, you should plan on taking the train to Santa Apolonia Station. You can even travel to Lisbon all the way from Spain or Italy and may be even France.

You can take the 735 bus from Santa Apolonia train station to Casa Coelho. You can get off at the bus stop situated right at the hair-pin turn on Rua Washington before the bus continues further up the hill.
